Finally!

So I am the first to admit: I am not the best at keeping a blog.  I can’t say I have been too busy.  I have been busy but I have also been lazy.  I always have the best intentions but am not always good at fulfilling the plan!  Before Greatie died (my last post), I had a couple blogs to write, updating everyone on what I have been doing.  But, now a month and a half has past.  Where has the time gone?  I have lived in Seattle for about 3.5 months.  Didn’t I just get here?  And now next week, my parents will be moving in to their new home.  So things are constantly changing!

So, point of the entry today?  An UPDATE!

The week I wrote my last blog post, I also played in my first soccer game since I was in 6th grade.  I joined Zack and Laura’s co-rec league on Thursday nights.  I might not be the best, but I have so much fun.  I am hoping to get into better shape and get some better skill, but I am having fun and the people have been great.  All the players have welcomed me.  I was their #1 fan for awhile and was convinced to try it.  I have officially joined the summer team.  Wish me luck!  Here are some pictures before I joined the team and was playing with the camera:

The day my parents came up, Zack and I went to the EMP (Experience Music Project) which is a museum of sorts.  There are exhibits on Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, the History of the Guitar, Progression of Video Games, a Sci-Fi exhibit, and even an exhibit on the scary movie.  This was one place I had always wanted to go and Zack has never made his way there…so we thought it would be fun.  (And it was!)  By far, my favorite thing was the 700 instrument two story tall statue (seen in a picture below).  One entertaining story: a lady asked her around 8 year old daughter if she knew was the cassette tape was called… She didn’t.  Boy did I feel old!

I have gotten to see my friend from high school a couple times.  She was sweet enough to let me tag along to her boyfriend’s birthday at an indoor trampoline park and a Mariner’s game.  It was fun and I enjoy getting to know her friends.

I turned 27 years old.  I had a wonderful birthday weekend.  My family all came to Bellevue and we ate a wonderful Italian dinner, followed by way too many desserts (if that is even a thing).  I had my actual birthday off (yay Flex days!) so my parents and I went to Snoqualmie Falls.  It was beautiful. Saturday, the girls went to the Spa for Manis and Pedis.  It was a gift from Zack and Laura for my mom (for Mother’s Day) and me (my birthday).  I ended the weekend with Zack’s soccer game and lunch with Zack.  I enjoyed being able to spend time with all my family.

I think that about catches you up.  I have been in the midst of our “busy” season at work. I have been busy but not as busy as my fellow co-workers.  I do what I can and help where I can, but hopefully next year I will be a little more help.  Thursday our report is due to the state so this is a big week.  However, we are in great shape (or so they keep telling me!).

And, I am looking forward to Thursday to get on an airplane (at like 11pm at night) after dinner with the family.  I am headed back to SMC for my 5 year college reunion!  I am ecstatic to say the least.  I will be staying in a dorm with my wonderful friend as a roommate and get to see a bunch of college friends.  We will have all sorts of events and talks.  I can't wait to get back on campus for a weekend!  I am sure I will have a post about that when I get back!
Hope all is well with anyone that reads this! God bless.
